About BusOva

A community-driven platform built by bus enthusiasts, for bus enthusiasts.

🚌 Our Goal

BusOva exists to create a reliable, respectful, and ever-growing home for bus data, photography, and knowledge. Our aim is simple but ambitious: to build a high-quality, accurate database of buses that have operated - or continue to operate - across the UK and beyond.

This includes individual vehicles, fleet histories, operators, manufacturers, models, chassis, engines, registrations, fleet numbers, and technical details, alongside photographs that document buses throughout their working lives.

Accuracy matters. BusOva is designed to be a shared reference - not just a gallery. Every contribution helps strengthen the reliability of the platform.

🌱 What We Hope to Achieve

  • A trusted community resource - a place people can confidently reference, whether they are enthusiasts, historians, photographers, or simply curious.
  • Preservation through documentation - buses change operators, liveries, configurations, and eventually leave service. Recording this information helps preserve a living history of public transport before it is lost.
  • Community collaboration - BusOva thrives on shared knowledge. Members are encouraged to contribute, learn from one another, and help improve existing data constructively.
  • Quality over quantity - it is always better to leave fields blank than to guess. Care and accuracy come first.
  • A platform that grows with its users - BusOva will continue to evolve with new features and tools shaped by the needs and ideas of the community.

🤝 Our Philosophy

  • Be respectful
  • Be accurate
  • Be honest about uncertainty
  • Treat BusOva as a shared responsibility

Every bus added, every photo uploaded, and every correction made contributes to something bigger than any single user.

🚦 Looking Ahead

BusOva is still growing - and that is part of the journey. With the help of dedicated members, contributors, and volunteers, we aim to continue expanding the platform into a comprehensive, trusted archive of bus history and operations.

If you share our passion, we're glad you're here.
Welcome to BusOva.
