We've been busy behind the scenes making BusOva better for our growing community of bus enthusiasts. Here's a roundup of the latest improvements.
Photo Captions
You can now add captions to your bus photos! When uploading images - whether you're adding a new bus or editing an existing one - you'll see a small text field beneath each photo slot. Use it to note where the photo was taken, the date, the livery, or anything else you think is worth mentioning.
Captions appear underneath each photo on the bus page, and also in the full-size lightbox viewer. If you've already uploaded photos, you can go back and add captions to them at any time by editing the bus.
Watermark Toggle Fix
Some of you reported that the BusOva watermark was still being applied to photos even when the toggle was switched off. We investigated and found that the toggle wasn't being read reliably in all cases. This has now been fixed - if you turn the watermark off, it stays off for all 10 photos, every time. If you'd prefer to use your own watermark, the option now works exactly as intended.
Fleet Number Sorting
Bus tables across the site, including the Operator, Manufacturer, Model, and Browse pages - now sort by fleet number by default. Previously, tables defaulted to sorting by registration or date added, which wasn't ideal when you're trying to browse a fleet in order.
The sorting also uses natural number ordering, so fleet numbers like 9, 42, 201 and 1042 appear in the correct numerical sequence rather than being sorted alphabetically (which would put 1042 before 201).
