Adding Buses & Uploading Photos
BusOva is a community-driven platform built by bus enthusiasts, for bus enthusiasts.
To keep the database accurate, useful, and enjoyable for everyone, all members are
expected to follow the guidelines below when adding buses or uploading images.
Failure to follow these rules may result in content removal or account restrictions.
1. General Conduct
- Be respectful and constructive at all times
- Only submit content you genuinely believe to be accurate
- Do not deliberately mislead, vandalise, or spam the database
- Treat BusOva as a shared resource - accuracy matters
2. Adding Buses to the Database
✅ What You Should Do
- Only add real, verifiable buses that have operated (or currently operate)
- Use accurate information wherever possible, including:
- Operator
- Fleet number
- Registration number
- Manufacturer, model, chassis, and engine
- Double-check spelling, formatting, and details before submitting
- Use official or widely accepted naming conventions
- Leave fields blank if you are unsure - do not guess
❌ What You Must Not Do
- Do not add fictional, joke, or speculative vehicles
- Do not intentionally duplicate existing buses
- Do not upload placeholder, test, or nonsense data
- Do not misuse fields (e.g. putting fleet numbers in notes)
- Do not repeatedly submit incorrect data after being corrected
Administrators reserve the right to edit, merge, or remove entries for accuracy.
3. Uploading Photos
Ownership & Permission
- Only upload photos you own or have explicit permission to use
- Do not upload images taken from:
- Google Images
- Social media
- Other websites
- Other photographers without consent
- By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the image on BusOva
Photo Quality & Content
- Photos should clearly show the bus
- Images must be:
- In focus
- Appropriately cropped
- Free from excessive filters or distortion
- Minor edits (cropping, brightness, watermarking) are allowed
- Offensive, inappropriate, or irrelevant images are not permitted
Prohibited Images
- No offensive, abusive, or hateful content
- No personal attacks or vandalism imagery
- No unrelated images (memes, scenery without buses, screenshots, etc.)
- No excessive watermarks that obscure the vehicle
- Strictly no photos containing accident or fire damage
- No depot photos containing damaged buses
- Strictly no photos of school buses/coaches to be uploaded (Empty buses/coaches are fine but none where children are visible, be it in or near the bus/coach)
We're compiling a list of buses and showcasing them. What we aren't doing; is highlighting the unfortunate incidents that sometimes take place.
4. Accuracy & Verification
- Upload photos that match the bus entry they are attached to
- Ensure fleet numbers, registrations, and operators align correctly
- If you discover an error in your submission, report or correct it promptly
- Repeatedly uploading misleading or incorrect content may result in restrictions
5. Moderation & Enforcement
BusOva administrators and moderators may:
- Edit submissions for clarity or accuracy
- Remove content that breaches these guidelines
- Temporarily or permanently restrict upload privileges
- Request clarification or proof of ownership if required
Moderation decisions are made in the best interest of the platform and its community.
6. Reporting Issues
If you notice:
- Incorrect bus data
- Copyright-infringing images
- Offensive or misleading content
Please use the report or contact tools to alert the admin team.
Do not engage in public disputes.
7. Final Notes
BusOva thrives on trust, accuracy, and shared passion.
