Uploading Photos: Best Practice
Good photos make BusOva more useful. Here’s how to upload images that help identification and keep the database clean and respectful.
What makes a useful BusOva photo
- Sharp, well-lit image (avoid heavy blur)
- Bus clearly visible (not blocked by poles/traffic if possible)
- Front/side/rear angles help identification
- Destination display and fleet number visible where possible
Cropping & quality
- Crop so the bus is the focus (but don’t cut off key identifiers).
- Avoid extreme compression; keep the original quality if possible.
- If your watermarking is enabled, keep important details away from corners.
Attribution & respect
- Only upload photos you took or have permission to share.
- Don’t upload private information beyond what’s already public on the vehicle.
- Avoid photos that encourage unsafe behaviour (standing in roads, etc.).
